Directions & Care
Prepare Your Workspace: Cover your workspace with paper towels or newspaper to catch any drips.Put on disposable gloves to avoid getting paint on your hands.
Remove the Ornament Top: Carefully remove the metal top of the clear plastic ornament and set it aside.
Add Paint to the Ornament: Squeeze a small amount of your first paint color into the ornament. Tilt the ornament slightly as you do this to allow the paint to start spreading around the inner surface. Add a second paint color, applying it close to or on top of the first color for a marbled effect. Tilt the ornament as you go to help the paint mix naturally.
Create the Marbled Effect: Once you’ve added enough paint, rotate and swirl the ornament gently to mix the colors inside. This will create a marbled pattern as the colors blend together. For more intricate marbling, you can use a paint brush o swirl the paint inside, but be careful not to overmix.
Drain Excess Paint: Turn the ornament upside down over a paper cup or bowl and let any excess paint drip out. This will help prevent clumping and ensure a smoother, even coating inside.Allow the ornament to sit upside down for about 10-15 minutes to remove excess paint.
Let the Paint Dry: Place the ornament upright (open side up) and let it dry completely. This may take a few hours or overnight, depending on the type and thickness of paint used.
Replace the Top: Once the paint inside is completely dry, reattach the metal top to the ornament.
Notes
For an added touch, some people add a ribbon for hanging.
