Directions & Care
Prepare the Elastic Cord: Cut a piece of stretchy elastic cord about 10-12 inches long to make it easier to string the beads and tie at the end.Use a bead stopper or tape one end of the cord to prevent the beads from sliding off.
Design Your Bracelet Layout: Arrange your bumpy beads, gold spacer beads, and letter beads on a flat surface to plan the design. For this design, alternate bumpy beads with spacer beads, centering the word "JOY" with the letter beads.
String the Beads: Begin stringing the beads onto the elastic cord, starting with a spacer bead followed by a bumpy bead.Continue alternating between spacer and bumpy beads. In the middle of the bracelet, add the letter beads to spell "JOY" (or any other word you prefer).Keep stringing beads until you have reached your desired bracelet length.
Check the Fit: Wrap the bracelet around your wrist to ensure it fits well. Adjust the number of beads as needed for a comfortable fit.
Tie the Elastic Cord: Once you’re satisfied with the fit, tie a secure double knot or surgeon’s knot with the elastic cord.
Trim Excess Cord: Trim any excess elastic cord close to the knot.
Notes
For extra security, some makers apply a small drop of jewelry glue to the knot and let it dry for a few minutes.
