Directions & Care
Prepare the Thread: Cut a piece of nylon thread about 10-12 inches long. This will give you enough length to thread the beads and tie a secure knot.
Attach the Keychain Clasp: Fold the thread in half and loop it through the hole in the keychain clasp.Pull the thread ends through the loop to secure it to the clasp. This will serve as the base of your keychain.
Thread the Beads: Start threading your silicone beads onto the doubled thread. Use a bead threader for easiest threading. Alternate bead colors and designs to create your desired pattern. For a festive look, use red, white, and peppermint-themed beads.Make sure to leave a little slack at the top for the next step.
Form the Loop: After threading all the beads, bring the thread ends back through the first bead or two to create a loop. This will help form the keychain's loop shape and keep the beads secure.
Tie a Secure Knot: Once you've formed the loop, tie a double or triple knot at the end of the looped thread, using the knot gripper tool to very tightly pull the knot together. This will secure the beads.
Trim Excess Thread: Carefully trim excess thread.
Notes
For added security, some makers apply a small dab of clear drying glue to the knot and let it dry for a few minutes.
