1. Attach the Keyring: Loop the knotted cord through the keyring's clasp and pull it tight. Ensure the connection is secure so it holds up with use.
2. Prepare Your Beads: Gather all your beads, the penguin focal bead, the keyring, and the jade thread cord. Cut a piece of cord to your desired length, leaving extra for tying knots.
3. Thread the Main Bead: Using the bead threader, begin threading the penguin bead onto both cords. This will serve as the center of your design.
4. Thread Accent Beads: Using the bead threader, thread other beads on one cord and in your preferred pattern. Alternate colors, textures, and sizes to create a visually appealing design.
5. Secure the Keychain: Tie a strong double or triple knot at the ends of the cord to secure the beads in place. Slide the knot through one of the beads to hide it for a cleaner look.
6. Trim the Excess Cord: Use scissors to carefully trim any excess cord close to the knot. Apply a small dab of glue to the knot (optional) for added security.
