Directions
  • Select a fabric that is low pile, smooth, and can withstand heat. Cotton, polyester, cotton/polyester blends, and linen are all excellent choices. Avoid using fabrics with heavy textures, such as deep velour or fur, as these can interfere with adhesion. Additionally, ensure your fabric can tolerate heat of 300°F for 30 seconds, as this is required for proper application.
  • Preheat your fabric for a few seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
  • Place the DTF transfer design-side down on the fabric where you want it.
  • Using a heat press or iron, press at the recommended temperature (usually around 300°F) for 15–20 seconds with medium pressure. Note too much heat or too hot of a press/iron will discolor the transfer.
  • Allow the transfer to cool slightly, then peel off the film gently. If the transfer pulls up, apply more heat and repeat this step.
  • Press for a few more seconds to ensure full adhesion (optional).
Materials & Care
  • DTF transfers are created using a specialized film that holds a DTF ink design, which adheres well to fabric. An adhesive powder is added to the ink, allowing it to bond securely to the fabric. A heat source, like a heat press or iron, is then applied to activate the adhesive powder, ensuring the design sticks properly and durably to the fabric. Together, these materials create a durable, vibrant transfer.
  • Wait 24 hours before washing your item for the first time. To protect the design, turn it inside out before washing. Use cold water on a gentle cycle, and avoid bleach or fabric softeners, as these can damage the transfer. Air drying is recommended, but you can tumble dry on low if needed. If ironing is required, place a cloth over the design or iron it inside out.
